What is SecureOffice?

SecureOffice is your office on the internet. It offers secure storage space and secure mail services to work groups, small and middle-sized companies, and private persons. It can be used as an archive (backup) of valuable files of any kind, but also as a place where different people can store and retrieve files that they need on a regular basis.

Key to all SecureOffice services is security:
  • All access to the site is established over a high-grade encrypted connection (SSL, 256-bit)
  • Passwords have to meet strict complexity rules to avoid passwords easily being generated.
  • All uploaded files are being scanned for viruses before being stored on high-end servers, situated in secure data centres.
  • Folders and files are only available to those users, who have the appropriate rights to them, while file versioning prevents files from being overwritten by other users.
  • E-mail messages are scanned for viruses and spam. By using IMAP for mail retrieval, the user's mail is always kept on the server. If the user's PC crashes or gets lost, reconstruction is a matter of minutes.
  • Daily 2-tier backups of all user data make data loss practically impossible.

Why SecureOffice

Small companies demand better IT-solutions

There are approximately one million small businesses with up to 9 employees in the UK. You'll find them in all kinds of industries. Common to them all is that they use IT in their daily work as much as larger companies - or at least they would like to. Some people say small businesses have other needs but in reality they can't afford to invest in firewalls, switches, email, virus filters and collaboration tools that larger companies use within their well-protected networks. It's simply too expensive and too complicated.
